Welcome

First elected in 2013 to serve as the 4th district representative on the Birmingham (AL) Board of Education, I have the honor and privilege to also serve as the Board's President.  In addition to my service on the BBOE, I work as a patient navigator at UAB Kidney Transplant.  For over 20 years I have enjoyed working with young people from pre-school through high school as well as mentor college students in the area.

Some of my current community involvement includes serving as a member of the Vulcan Kiwanis, Birmingham Holocaust Education Committee, Birmingham Chapter of The Links, Inc.,  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and serve as Vice President of the Central Alabama Clark Atlanta Alumni Association Chapter.   Previously, I have been involved with the National Council for Community Justice and Norwood Resource Center boards, a graduate of Leadership Birmingham (2017), and a founding member of the Birmingham Urban League Young Professionals.
